Results of the 3-day Madrid Conference:
– The red lines between Arabs and the Zionists were broken.
– Arab countries held direct negotiations with the Zionists for the first time.
– The Zionists imposed their extreme demands on Arabs thanks to the U.S. pressure.
– The conference functioned as a cover for secret negotiations between the PLO and the Zionists.
– Paved the way for Wadi Araba Treaty and the Oslo Pact (a year later).
