What concessions were given to the English side in the Reuters contract?
Contract terms:
Construction of any roads, railways and dams from the Caspian Sea to the Persian Gulf and exploitation of all mines in Iran (except gold and silver), construction of waterways and aqueducts and canals for shipping or agriculture; Establishment of banks and any industrial companies throughout Iran; The monopoly of public works; The use and exploitation of forests for 70 years and the use of Iranian customs for 25 years were provided to Reuters for a payment of 6 million British pounds and a 5% interest.
