The goals of Iraq’s 1920 #revolution were to gain independence from the British colonization as well as establishing an Arab state. Despite early success, #Britain managed to defeat the revolution in late October 1920 following the death of its leader, Sheikh Mohammad Taqi Al- Shirazi. The revolution widely ended in 1920 but it continued in some forms until 1922.
